Scope of Work
The scope of work includes the installation and maintainance of electrical, network, and communications cabling and associated equipment; this will include but not be limited to power points, lights, hot water services, electric ranges and the installation of cat 5, or cat 6 wiring, patch panels and switches for home computer networks.
Electricians are trained in the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment and the inspection and testing of an installation to verify its safe operation with respect to various design and technical aspects. Please think carefully before undertaking your own electrical work;
the installation of a circuit requires consideration of more factors than simply a load you may be intending to connect, and the connection of equipment also requires more than a simple understanding of how to connect like colours.
Working with electricity is inherently dangerous and if any mistakes are made the consequences could be serious; if in doubt call your local Electrician or Supply Authority.
